Curriculum Vitae

Psychology Dr. Marianthi Stylianou, Ph.D., holds her bachelor degree from the Univercity of California of Los Angeles (UCLA). She earned her master degree in Clinical Psychology from the Loyola University of Los Angeles (USA) and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Educational Policies from the McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

She served in Montreal, Canada as a school psychologist - educator for 8 years, the last three of them was assigned as a school psychologists supervisor at the Protestant Schoolboard of Great Montreal (in 52 schools).

Dr. Stylianou was licensed as a Psychologist in Canada (La Corporation professionnelle des psychologies du Quebec, under the licence number: 0110-75).

She served in the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic in Dellaware as a clinical psychologist for 4 years, the last two of them as a nurses supervisor of the psychiatric clinic.

Dr. Stylianou was licensed in Delaware, valid throughout the States, from the Department of Public Instruction (Delaware) as a Supervisor of School Psychologists (given at Dove, DE on 1/7/1983). Through the psychiatric clinic, she was supervising 16 school psychologists. She was also a student at the Thomas Jefferson Medical School where she studied marriage and family therapy for 5 years.

She then moved with her husband, who was a doctor, to Florida, Clear Water, Tampa Bay. In order to have a private practice, she passed the exams for Clinical Psychology with high merits: 910,4 / 1000 (State of Florida, Dept. Of Professional Regulation as a Mental Health Psychologist). At that time, she had over 3000 times of supervising and a 52 book bibliography to present. The Licence is valid throughout the USA, including the State of California, hich is the toughest State for a doctor to be licensed. When in Florida, she also gathered her previous 3000-hour experience and passed a 14-book curriculum examination and earned her licence of Marriage And Family Therapist.

The Licences allowed Dr. Stylianou to have a private practice and register with the U.S. Social Services.

After moving to Greece,

  • She spent 18 years serving as a Headmistress of immediate phychological support (Crisis Intervention) and family psychotherapy in the Mental Hygiene Center, which comes under the Ministry of Health.
  • In the meantime, she taught evening classes of industrial and organising psychology at the New York College, affiliated by NY College, USA.
  • She is a former Surrogate Professor at the University of Crete, Rethymno, for three years, along with her work at the Mental Hygiene Center. She was also teaching Theories and Techniques of Psychotherapies and Clinical Applications.

Many scientific magazines have published her articles all these years.

Her latest expertice is in the Quantum Scio-biofeedback for all the psychological and psychosomatic problems.(scio=sciere in latin = to know => quantum knowledge and therapy with quantum frequencies).

Since 2006, Dr. Stylianou keeps her private office at 18, Evridamantos Str., behind the Ledra Marriott Hotel on the Syggrou Avenue in Athens.
